No, it's the coach's brilliant way of getting barrett to practice his passing and court vision. His main flaw is that he gets tunnel vision on his drives to the rim.

RJ playing point for the bench doesn't necessarily lower back up pg minutes, just touches. Davion can still do what he does in that scenario. Will also help releave RJ as Im told he showed some actual PG skills last season if you watched him

I believe that the team will get better no matter how this year plays out they will be together for the next few years. It would benefit from post season play at the same time the in season tournaments will be a good indicator of what needs to be done for a playoff push.

I mean, the team is in a rebuilding stage, so I guess it doesn't hurt to develop him into a PG. But the reason why he was efficient with the Raptors last year was that he wasn't asked to create much and allowed him to play off the ball more compared to the Knicks.

If RJ barrett can play pg ... he played it his whole life ... we got lucky n knicks will feel it this year ...

My guess is that he doesn't see RJ as a point guard. He just wants our main players to get better at handling the ball, making plays, passing better, and acquiring more court vision--all skills that a good point guard happens to possess. Can't hurt... Darko's system generated plenty of open shots last season, we just weren't making them. I hope that our guys worked on their execution--especially from long range and at the FT line.

Run him at SG all season. Raptors could easily swallow one bad Brandon Ingram or Wiggins contract rn.
