I wouldn't classify Changli as a sub-dps at all. Yes, she has a support outro, but I see that as more of a sign towards them opening up dual dps composition teams. Changli provides herself 40% fusion damage bonus, plus a 25% atk increase, plus a 15% def shred on her three hardest hits all within her own kit. On top of her weapon being a pure on-field dps weapon.

Yinlin for example is a true sub dps 5 star. Yinlin while having a similar outro skill to Changli, has an ultimate that's doing 50% less damage than Changli's, a skill that's doing 50% less than what Changli's gives you with her skill + the enhanced basics the skill provides, a slower and less aggressive basic attack string, off field heavy attack damage (while Changli provdies 540% from her heavy attack and will do 2 per rotation), and she provides herself with effectively no damage boosts to help her out at all.

I foresee a Changli - Encore - Verina team where Verina puts up her 30 second buffs, Changli blows everything up in 10 seconds, and then encore uses both Verina and Changli's buff's to keep the damage going, as probably the best situation for Changli holding a shared dps role alongside Encore.

You forgot Taoqi has outro skill that buff resonance skill, which is perfect for changli.

This is a game made by kuro games where sometimes they create characters whose color schemes do not match their elements or they make characters that should be supporters but are actually stronger than dps. Before crimson weave arrived, the backbone of the lightning team in pgr was vera, who is a tank. And before qu appeared, the dps of the ice team was ayla, who is an amplifier (healer+buffer). Just keep that in mind.

so Changli is female Calcharo. They both use HA to activate the forte, both have R skill to activate HA forte, they also have dashing slashes attack, have white long hair, one turn into birh one turn into half-demon. Conclusion, Changli is a female chad.

Changli is more like danjin than like yinlin, because yinlin's kit is all designed to be a subdps, outro skill, signature weapon and the fact that she deals damage even if she is not on the field. But changli is more like danjin because the only thing designed for being a subdps is her outro skill, everything else, even her weapon, is designed to be a main dps. So, if you have and really like encore, you can use changli as a subdps and you can use her with future fusion dps, on the other hand, if you really like changli and want to play her as a main dps, you can use sanhua as sub dps

6:14 this a misconception when it comes to sub dps like Yin ling and probably same with Changli looking at her kit probably because of the term "sub dps", so can I say we should call the roles as Main Field DPS and Burst DPS instead of sub dps and main dps, since it's more appropriately describes what they actually do gameplay wise.

I feel like "sub" dps is kinda not the right term to call the role that Yin Lin and Changli occupies, since unlike most Sub DPS they actually have more field time that the supposed "main" dps that they're supporting/supplementing and probably does as much the same damage as the "main" DPS, specially Changli since looking at her kit it wants you to stay as her for as long as possible to exhaust all her passive before swapping.

She doesn't really look like a burst dps/sub dps to me as she doesn't seem to have a dps window downtime except for the 25% Atk boost from her ultimate.
Another thing to take note of is Resonance Chain 2, since it is phrased as giving a 30 CDmg boost when she have Enflament then she technically can have a 100% uptime since she can gain the stack through performing True Sight Atk, not limited to just Reso Liberation.

I was surprised that Chixia wasn't mentioned, since she benefits from both Chanli's ult and pyro damage. Chixia is too underrated
