This was so well explained! Especially when you compared how the eye makeup can shorten/lengthen your face. I didnt think your blush looked too bad though! In fact, the more central placement helped shorten the midface more, whereas the other side had a larger area of bare cheek, making it look slightly longer. Still beautiful, and would not have noticed if it wasnt for the side-by-side comparison

I used to put the light/glitter/shimmer up there in the lid back in the day and I have monolids lol. It looks terrible and makes your eyes look smaller and I didn’t understand that back then cuz normal eyelids look so pretty with glitter in that placement 😭

Love your videos, could you do a tutorial on eyeliner and eyeshadow for hooded eyes that turn kind of monolid when opened? I feel like monolid eyemakeup does not work somehow and hooded eye makeup is for ppl with more lidspace showing *nm found your video on eyeliner

I don't wear make up often and have Asian monolid eyes, your video is so helpful when I have to put some makeup on 3 times a year! 😂 I also don't have much bottom lashes either and whenever I put mascara on them they smudge so bad throughout the day, making my dark circles look worse. Any tips for that? Thanks!

Your don’t side is exaggerated. Not following the rules when it comes to the eyebrows and eyes is why it looks theatrical. Monolids can definitely do smoky eyes but try not to combine styles. Not blending is a no-no. We’re not doing face painting, kabuki or Chinese opera. To viewers, try never to change your eyebrow shape, like if you have rounded arch eyebrows, don’t draw in the angled eyebrow because it most probably won’t be in harmony with the rest of your face. Just go to a beautician to have your eyebrows tweezed as they are trained and you can maintain the shape after that at home. If you’re not convinced, you can buy a set of clown makeup, which includes wax to wax down your eyebrows. Apply foundation over them so they vanish and you can draw new eyebrows in. You can try different shape eyebrows to see if they go with your facial features before you do anything drastic to your eyebrows.
