It seems to be a common issue that the BIOS update bricks the system. And MSI laptops dont have a secondary BIOS backup module in case something goes wrong with the primary BIOS. The fact that updating some of the laptop models results in a bricked system is criminal. And flashing a USB backup BIOS recovery doesnt even seem to always work. Some ppl report that the system bricks after a simple windows update, it seems that the update requires a BIOS update and if you are unlucky the system runs into a problem where it gets stuck in loading screen and shuts down and gets bricked.

Some people report that after they do some undervolting in the BIOS it results in a bricked system, and also when chancing the RAM clock speed in BIOS. And this has been going on for over a year now which is just scary and could mean that its not a simple fix/update from MSI to solve this issue, but that some systems are just falty in hardware rather than software. It all comes down to hardware lottery.

Anyone who cant do this so wait.. Just type advanced startup options in search area.. And then you will get an option to restart pc do it.. And done your problem is solved.. Thnx

My laptop won't go to that menu, after pressing F3 multiple times it still goes to the regular Bios window. Been stuck in that loop for a while

Note to everyone: If you don't have the Factory Reset to default Settings option, this means you reset you're computer or the drive was cleared and you don't have it anymore, To get it back, you would have to call the MSI company and pay $35 for the factory settings again.

I tried doing this but when I click yes it gives me a window telling me ([recovery 1] 1. Please make sure the disks partition’s layout is factory default setting. 2. Please make sure current OS HDD is in the master HDD place). When i click ok or close the window, it sends me back to to choose an option. Any one has a solution?

This does not work on MS 11 in my case. Goes straight to PIN and there's no way out of the loop even when I have the correct PIN and Password. It's a nasty loop which isn't addressed in this process.

Beware of buying MSI, after purchasing an AEGIS T15 I found GPU temps of 100 degrees. MSI customer service is terrible and unwilling to do anything about it

This method does NOT work if you forgot your Windows PIN.
