I love how it seems to mean 2 separate things entirely to me. The one with no eye contact until the end seems to be searching for all the things he hates about her and doesn't even quite believe some of it - but the end where he stares right at you is what makes you believe he actually does.

Meanwhile the one with full eye contact until the end makes you believe that he passionately hates her... but at the end it feels like he really doesn't - or doesn't want to or hates the fact that he does or doesn't hate her.

Beautifully animated ✨ you can see every thought in their eyes and it matches the audio so well.

The one where it remains eye contact looks more mad, while the one who avoided eye contact looks more sad

The first one goes from annoyed to ashamed and the second one goes from being self-loathing to mad. Truly incredible

The eye contact conveys emotion so well, with one seeming hesitant and the other more genuine in their feelings.

It's amazing how eyes can tell so much of a story, and how they can be interpreted in so many different ways

The first one comes off as more assertive, but the ending reveals that that hatred isn’t what the character truly feels
The second one gives me the impression that the character is hesitating to say this. They genuinely have hate, but it’s hard to revisit or even talk about.

love how both of them convey two entirely different messages

The bottom is like he’s finally built up the courage to speak his mind, while the top is like he’s saying these things reflexively despite not actually feeling that way

I actually think the eye contact until the end is more accurate and more sad than the latter, he tries his best to act like he hates her but he falters and closing face is so mad looking while the latter has the eyebrows scrunched down making him look more serious/mad
Especially because the closing statement is “I hate her” so when the latter looks in the camera it’s more saying that it is true while the one who looks away at the end suggests it was lying “guilt”

The first one seems like he's trying to convince someone else that he hates her, and the second one seems like he is trying to convince himself that he hates her! Very well animated!

This is why the quote
"The eyes are windows to the soul"
Because they can convey emotion that you truly feel

The top one is kinda giving the vibe that he doesn’t hate her and the bottom one is giving that he hates her with a passion

its so cool how the 'eye contact till the end' one so clearly conveys this sort of fake hate speech but ends in a sort of shy way in the fact that the eye contact is removed at the most pivotal point, strongly suggesting that the entire thing was a lie and that the speaker truly doesnt hate summer
god this is just so amazing im addicted to the expressions u use in ur animations

The one that’s averting eye contact looks as if he’s looking for his hate toward her, but the one that’s keeping their eye contact looks like he can easily realize how much he hates her, compared to the bottom where he feels true sadness, instead of keeping eye contact and being mad. I love how you’re able to capture the look, but also make you see the same way the person in the animation does. Wonderful.

It’s cool how you can imagine the whole character, mood, and emotion just from the eyes moving

Both can be interpreted in so many ways it's so cool. Even the second one on its own I would believe him hating her or secretly not hating her because he is able to look us in the eye when he says I hate her and doesn't avoid eye contact in that moment to show he is being truthful. He also looks way more defeated which can be interpreted in different ways. The one on top looks like he feels bad when he says he hates her because he doesn't truly mean it and is just forced into a position to say it. Seriously such an interesting expression to look at.

Love this so much!!

This is so cool. The top one makes it seem like he doesn’t really hate her and the bottom one makes it seem like he really does. So neat how that works.
