People who defend summer don't understand that summer made tom feel what he actually wanted to if she knew she wasnt going for relationships or merraiege, and in process when she was with another man she should actually cleared everything before, if she isn't sure what she want then dont get other person involved in this too, this sucks!

I believe the movie is not that black and white, and there are no antagonist but rather real people who wanted different things. However, towards the end, summer dancing and having romantic moments with him all while she is in a serious relationship is pretty messed up. Especially when she know how much she hurted him when they broke up and how he was the one who wanted a relationship.

Moreover she later invited him to his engagement party without telling him it was an engagement party. Yikes.

Plus the mentality “I wanted to do something, so I did” of Summer is wrong when there is someone in your life. You must have some sense of empathy, because while hedonistic lifestyle can make you happy and relaxed but will certainly hurt the otherside.

Sometimes when I’m angry I watch this movie so I can take my anger out on these two
