Do you have to remove that OEM rack system in order to put the Yakima rack system or do you just add Yakima cross bars?

HOLY MOLLY!!! So the truck comes predrilled should one want to install a roof rack? I did not know that....LOL. I though you had to drill holes into the roof of the truck....LOL. I feel so dumb now...LOL. Thanks for sharing. I learned something new today, that is for sure!!! Now for sure I'm going to install a roof rack for my Toyota Tundra. I love my truck!!! Once again, thanks for sharing your expertise and valuable information with us, its much obliged.

I’m surprised there is not washers for the bolt side as well. Have you had any water issues getting into roof?

Great looking TACO, good vid, , , , but 1 question, , you didn’t show how the “washers” were installed in detail.. 5 of them & was there any possibility of water leaking in that channel(s)? Thanks LD

I did install my OEM roof rack myself. I followed the instructions meticulously. However, I noticed that when heavy rain came down, my headliner interior got all wet. I’m not sure if that's a poor design from Toyota, but I was let down.

Wild question. That brack that’s holding it seems narrow enough to fit my Toyota hatchback. Other than any other random issue, does anyone think it absolutely wouldn’t fit?

OK, I must be dense and need a little help. The side rail that sits upon the base (which is bolted to truck) swings over to the other side and fits into the hole on the other side. But with the cheap OEM rack I bought what do the bolts mount to? I only have a have a long bolt but it doesn't attach to anything. Any ideas?
