Hey Zach you should wrap your Tacoma with a skin that shows the internals of the truck. Kinda like your phone skins.

You could try putting a thin strip of rubber under the mounting bracket, better safe then sorry, Love the vids btw

You remind me of a very competent maintenance tech I knew in the Air Force. It's rare to see someone take the "more complicated, but better path" rather than the easiest one.

I was constantly watching my YouTube for new video from someone

Normally people that install them professional install rubber pads under those mounts because of vibrations and to prevent damage. Might be something to consider

I thank you so much for this install and noticing the "closeness" of the rack tho the roof. I bought and installed more trim (similar to the wind trim) to each piece on the roof. Gotta protect the paint. Wouldn't have known had you not noticed it

nice quick video! I've seen others where they take a good 30 mins and don't explain cutting the holes in the weather stripping as simplistic as you did, thanks a bunch!

Before I wanted a Prinsu, but now UpTopOverland's Alpha roof rack looks to be much more functional while looking much more rugged. With side scenelights and those nifty grab handles. Been following them since their start up. They talk with the community often and seem to be more open to feedback. If only I had the money to afford it... Someday.

That top down drone shot for the roof rack placement at 6:10 was clever and badass!

Thx much for the video. Prinsu’s instructions link was dead. Loved the way you cut and drilled the weather stripping. Turned out great on my truck. Thank you!

Thank you for not just hacking the weather stripping to pieces. I cannot believe people rip things apart during an install, hack off useful pieces of the truck and just call it a day. That's shoddy workmanship and in this case would also leave unacceptable points for water to pool on the roof and eventually work its way into the roof of the vehicle.

Nice! As another comment said…I’d put a small piece of door edge guard on that front bracket.

Few things there the roof rack mounts to the truck there are spacers to lift the mounts off the roof and you’re supposed to silicone the holes
