Well considering I had to retire my plumbing career at 30 years old to become a carer for my children for which i now receive £70 a week id say it's an insult . Minimum wage is £364 so id go so far to say our wage is infact illegal by there own rules

Would PIP money be affected or does it just affect people on disability premium and pension credit ???

No point to it whatsoever. I claimed and was given the allowance. My benefits were reduced slightly. No word at all that it would be deducted from the other person, now months later she has to pay it all.

Carers allowance is a lot more complicated than this - there are all kind of hacks such as legitimate work expenses that can be deducted from your pay - such as a lease car on PCP you need for your job or a mileage or meals allowance, half your pension contributions, any tax and NI etc - and also, dont forget that the earnings threshold means just that - it only counts earned income - not unearned income from, e.g., a workplace pension or income from premium bonds or investments.
If your income rises, it is usually better to top up your pension contributions - most schemes allow this.
I earned a lot more than the earnings limit, but kept my Carers Allowance by paying nearly all my earnings into a pension plan.

I have to change over to universal credit I'm getting income support £26 a week will they cancel my carers allowance when I change over to universal credit
