How can someone not in work go on strike??

So if she's retired and striking does that mean she's gone back to work in protest of retirement ?

Did she say tax people more? So what happens to those that didn't get a wage increase? What about the cost of living for those people?

I think it’s supporting strikers, even though she’s retired, and maybe she’s been called out of retirement to bolster up the creaking NHS. I mean after all during Covid retired, doctors and nurses were called out of retirement.

I agree. Money was found for the bankers. Why not for nurses? The British government should have its priorities straight.

This is definitely not the first march gig she has been on 😂

Love how she mention the none dom thats a dig at you prime minister pays 30k per year to keep that status which allows him to get out of paying 12m in taxes.
Also I love how he can be prime minister but according to the HMRC he doesn't live in the UK.

Retired and striking, that really doesn't make sense does it.

They didn't find the money, they printed more, hence inflation.
I know a few nurses and they are pretty well paid(plus they get soo many discounts), so sorry gran but you are short sighted.

She is a nurse, even after retirement, perhaps not a working nurse but still is a nurse. I think she is doing this in support of her colleagues.

Her striking is a joke! She is retired, for gods sake! This is not news worthy!

I know a few nurses, tough job (always was, always will be), pay seems good, even if wasn’t a demand of a pay increase of nearly one fifth is just crazy.

She sounds like a labour supporter to me

She makes so much sense. It was kind of her to support people of her profession.

Get rid of all the dead wood at the top. A chief executive in Lincolnshire was awarded a Fourty thousand plus pay award for bringing three hospitals into special measures. How can that be allowed to happen, this person should have been sacked.

I worked in a bank helping people apply for mortgages and I saw a lot of NHS payslips from nurses, don't let them fool you, these people get paid pretty well, I don't ever recall seeing a nurses payslip that was less than 30k and that is just the standard wage, nevermind all the OT they get, these people get paid very well by the NHS.
