****TIME STAMPS BELOW****
In this video I go over the different Dolby Surround Sound Processing as suggest by a commenter (MrDante10no). I did notice a difference and decided to try out one of the modes exclusively for the next few weeks to see how it sounds.

Please, never use Dolby Audio post Processing mode in cinema, music or night mode because in any case, you will compress your sound and harm the overall sound image of your system. If you want to enjoy the real sound of recordings on your Anthem system like post production while benefiting from sound without compression, I recommend that you set the Dolby Audio Post Processing mode to (NONE) and you will be surprised to discover with a few tests everything you lost in sound quality in other modes. Note: In NONE mode you will have to increase the volume by around 8 db but you will see such a difference in sound quality, both in height and width that you will never use these other modes again. I am sure that you will rediscover your Anthem if you listen to this advice because I myself made the mistake for almost a year and since I removed this mode, I finally rediscover my MRX1140 as it should have played from the beginning.

Hey dude, I'm just wondering how you feel about the MRX 1140 in terms of power of performance - I currently have a Pioneer VSX 934 receiver, which only cost the equivalent of around 400 dollars. The sound to me feels 'weak' even at high volumes, and is pretty uneven after running the basic MCACC. I have a 5.1 set-up with Q Acoustic speakers.

I know that you went from a Pioneer receiver to the MRX, and I was wondering, do you feel that the receiver drives enough power to make the sound noticeably more powerful and 'full'? What difference do you hear between the Pioneer and the Anthem?

I only ask as I don't want to spend a lot of money on an MRX 1140, then realise that I might have been better saving up and going for separates (this would become a major, major investment for me, which ideally I'd prefer to avoid - to go to, say, the AVM 70, and then require a good quality 10 channel amplifier would more than double the cost of the MRX!)

So yeah, in terms of movies, do you feel that the sound from the MRX1140 is powerful enough?

Hey man, how are you getting on with the bass management on your MRX? I'd heard that it only allows calibration for one subwoofer, is this true? I'm on the cusp off buying one, just deciding whether I'm going to upgrade to a 5:2:4 or a 7:2:4

Also, aren't you restricted to whatever mix the movie or programme utilises? Like, some movies are mixed DTS, others Dolby, etc.

How do you find the 1140 in general, as you had some issues, are they all fixed now? Id love to hear your up to date conclusion.
