A service dog, also, wont take a dump in the grocery store but a support dog will crap and bite you as an extra treat! Huge difference!!

Service dogs are trained to do a job, cost thousands (sometimes tens of thousands), and have a purpose. ES dogs are just working the system.

Currently my emotional support dog is in training to become a psychiatric service dog. An animal cannot be an emotional support animal without a therapist specifically putting in writing that it is. These sorts of animals are for those with mental health struggles related to emotions. Some of them are trained to perform tasks, but they are not required to be.
