How can you separate out the subjective effect of doctors hospitalizing (or moving into critical care) their pregnant patients out of an excess of caution rather than actual symptomatic need? Fear of harm to the baby due to maternal reduced oxygen may cause doctors to put their patients where they can receive oxygen and monitoring, and/or quick delivery if it should be needed. Since many doctors are now prescribing O2 at home in order to keep Covid patients out of hospitals, we need a study on gravid patients receiving O2 at home compared with a hospitalized cohort.

Covid effect on pregnancy: we know obesity reflects on Covid outcomes. What does research say about relationship between BMI and pre term birth/admission to neonatal ITU? Could it be that obesity AND Covid together is the problem?

Thanks for just adressing the possible effects of the vaccins on pregnancy! That's how you communicate fair, with respect to other persons autonomy.

Would be more helpful if you made a video discussing the current worries about the vaccines and addressed if there is anything to worry about. Would love your reaction to Dr Goold (?) lecture.

Any chance the virus might affect the eggs carried by female babies during development?

I would love to see you go over the data for children and how much high risk conditions like TOF could affect it.

Even though pregnancy isn't a diagnosis I'll ever come down with, still an interesting lecture, thanks!

I read that preterm births in the first six months of the pandemic were markedly fewer, indeed the rate was up to 90% less in some hospitals, and particularly the very premature type of preterm births. Others have mentioned this to me too, so it is not something that just I picked up. Can you comment on why this was the impression last year? Ta.

I was positive for covid at 11 weeks and didn’t get fever or myalgia. I did get sob, tachycardia, at around day 7. I have since then struggled with tachycardia, palpitations, and sob but they says It’s normal during pregnancy.

Being pregnant increases your risk of being admitted to ICU if you have Covid 19? Is there a way to factor out the extra caution involved?
