The glut of sales tells you everything you need to know, Rolex has become a watch associated with new money looking for a status symbol. Personally I think they have tainted their brand appealing to a hefty percentage of people that are probably financing their watch purchases (i.e. buying beyond their means)....They've made other brands like Omega look way more appealing and classy.
