Hi Steven!! Always a pleasure to get a notification from your channel 😀 I've tried to do this with peeling paint and didn't "draw a line". I ended up having a right mess in the end! Wish I'd seen your video first. I wondered if you'd be able to give advice? I'm in the Highlands of Scotland, very cold and damp up here. There are patches in the wood around door frames which have gone very soft. Is there any way of re-hardening the wood without having to remove the whole frame? I've tried a dehumidifier but it hasn't worked. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Take care. Sandym 💖

I am going to try this thanks !

Was wondering if you happen to know by chance if the filler used in the video would be similar to a wood filler in U.S. ?

I googled a similar product to the one listed and it gave me a few options but the first one was this brand “DAP Plastic Wood-X with DryDex ( I think the dry deck means it changes colors when dried) . I was able to find the bonding primer thankfully .

I watched a vid b4 I got to this one and they used “DAP Alex Plus White Acrylic Latex All Purpose Caulk” as the filler .

would this caulk be a better option? I’m assuming not but to be honest I have no idea . I was just trying to slap some paint on my very old interior door as a quick fix because it looks god awful .

I’m not sure if you may be familiar with these products due to location differences but If you are able to offer any insight or advice it would be appreciated!

Thanks so so so so much for sharing! I’m sure whatever I end up going with it will still look better than it does now !

Thanks again !

I have a ton of pva glue which needs to be used soon. Could I apply that instead of the "stop" whatever it is around the border ?

When you give a coat of emulsion is this misting? I hear people say give a mist coat first but you give one layer of emulsion.

What product would you use on peeling gloss paint? Got some woodwork I want to sort out, it’s flaking off, what product would you recommend?
