Tip - before you put away your fiulling kit, give it a base coat of undercoat/primer - its amazing how much difference it makes to see imperfections you might want to give another filling .

Really pleased I watched this video for the excellent tips, I've always used polyfilla on flaking paint and never knew of Toupret, Toupret was so easier to use and sand down plus it dried quickly.👍

What is the cause of this bubbling? My friend has a terraced house and the internal dividing wall, there is various spots where the paint has peeled and is bubbled. Mind you, a cheap screwfix matt paint was used which was shit. Would bubbling be a sign of dampness?

Only thing I'd add is, you could have gone over the whole bare plaster area, it would have helped for applying the filler.

Great video. Thanks. Did you put a layer or two of miscoat on before painting? - that may have been why it flaked in the first place.

Good vid. Do you need to give the filler a mist coat before painting ? Literally have a 2 inch patch in all the upstairs in the middle of wall flaking that was painted about 4 years ago. Not sure if should use this or zinsser bin and what difference between 2 is ?
