This is part 1 of Creating Our Client. In this mini series, we will create our client for our card game using Unity, and C#. This client will allow us to mommunicate to the game running on a SmartFoxServer.

@Blitfast I will have to double check, but I pretty sure that unity free can use socket, but not iphone basic. I had made a small game using SFS, and it worked under unity free (back then it was still unity indie), but would not work under unity iphone basic.

@Blitfast Networking in Unity is available in both pro and free

@msborat96 I will be revisiting this series when the new version of SmartFoxServer comes out as they have stated that projects will not upgrade and I do not want to do a complete rewrite.

@msborat96 I just have it downloaded and installed at the moment. It will still be some time before I have a chance to sink my teeth in to it to see what it can do.

@msborat96 Actually, I just went and looked at their website. It seems that they snuck it out on me. The RC1 is out. All I have to do now is find some time to go over it and check out the changes.

Where are you "just copying and pasting this from", if I zoom in at the highest resolution I can make out most of it, but it's still a signifigant amount of typing. Can I copy this form files I've already downloaded somewhere?
