I should say, almost all Rachmaninoff's pieces are challenging, I know not a single one which is easy...and his famose wide chords...Thank you, was very interesting! "Russian Bells" are wonderful, I also love this Prelude

It was very enlightening to hear the background surrounding this etude. The piece certainly comes alive with the dynamic playing of Irina. There are some real gems on this compilation and can't wait for the next episode.

The technical level is always very high: You can say that Rach wrote only studies...nothing for less gifted people. Bach and Schubert had the talent to create easy- technical deep music . Rach not.
