Supertramp's "Breakfast In America" was the biggest selling album in the world in 1979. It spawned several hit singles and went on to win two Grammy Awards and sell in excess of 20 million copies. On the album's release Supertramp embarked on a 10 month world tour which arrived in Paris at the end of November. These 4 shows from the Pavillon de Paris were all recorded and the last two were filmed. The audio went on to form the basis of the 1980 live album "Paris" but the film was never released. As bonus features, we include five tracks recorded on the night (but for which there is no film) using montage visuals: "Ain't Nobody But Me", "You Started Laughing (When I Held You In My Arms)", "A Soapbox Opera", "From Now On" and "Downstream".

My dad died 2 days ago. Supertramp Paris was the last album he listened to.
Rest in peace, daddy. Love you forever ♥️🌷.

Definitely the most underrated band in history. How are these guys not in the Rock and roll hall of fame with their massive following and massive hit albums and almost a dozen hit songs and of course their unique sound!

People say "why would you want to go back in time?" Because I could see the best bands of all time, live, without smart phones in everybody's hand blocking the view and just soak in the greatness, that's why!!

They were totally underrated. As rock bands of the 70s go they were one of the best and tightest.

Supertramp, Alan Parsons Project, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Dire straits, Metallica, and many more... sweet 70s and 80s music...

This song has aged like fine wine. The sound of the clarinet is amazing.

This album was HUGE in 1979, one of the biggest, most played albums. And think about the competition in 1979- AC/DC Highway To Hell, Pink Floyd The Wall, Led Zep In Through The Outdoor, Van Halen II, Fleetwood Mac Tusk, Michael Jackson Off The Wall, The Eagles The Long Run, The Clash London Calling, The Pretenders, Neil Young Rust Never Sleeps, Cheap Trick Dream Police, etc. etc. Not counting all of the New Wave and punk albums. 1979 was an insane year for music.

Those songs got plenty of radio play. That's how people still remember them.
