Simply one of the greatest albums ever recorded. From the opening track to the last there is not a throwaway song on this entire album

I remember when I was living with my sister and still in high school... She had this album in her record collection and I would put it on and play it all day while she was at work... Good times... ☮🔥

How often do you get to hear a saxophone and tuba in the same song these days...Love this! Definitely a hidden treasure for sure!

My older brother, just two years, he and his "high class" friends with connections introduced me to this marvelous music and still with me even though my brother is gone since 1981.❤️😪🎼🙏🌹

I did leave England and take a jumbo across the water at 6yrs old and lived in America. I remember staying at my Nan's in 1980 and this song was all over the media, literally felt like somebody wrote a song about my life

I wish this song was 5 minutes long, instead of 2:40.

Few records have the ability to take me back to 1979 with such acute surgical accuracy like this one...

[Verse 1]
Take a look at my girlfriend
She's the only one I got
Not much of a girlfriend
I never seem to get a lot
Take a jumbo across the water
Like to see America
See the girls in California
I'm hoping it's going to come true
But there's not a lot I can do

[Verse 2]
Could we have kippers for breakfast
Mummy dear, Mummy dear?
They gotta have 'em in Texas
'Cause everyone's a millionaire
I'm a winner, I'm a sinner
Do you want my autograph?
I'm a loser, what a joker
I'm playing my jokes upon you
While there's nothing better to do, hey

[Instrumental]

[Verse 3]
Don't you look at my girlfriend (Girlfriend)
She's the only one I got
Not much of a girlfriend (Girlfriend)
I never seem to get a lot (What she's got? Not a lot)
Take a jumbo across the water
Like to see America
See the girls in California
I'm hoping it's going to come true
But there's not a lot I can do, hey
Ba da da dum
Ba da da dum
Ba da da da dum
[Instrumental]

I’m only 17 but I love the classics. Grandpa passed away recently and digging through his old record collection of a couple thousand I found some great classics. 3 unwrapped copies of some bryan adams, some Creedence Clearwater Revival, AC/DC, Charlie Daniel’s band, Richie Valens, the skyliners, the Beatles and other classics from so many different time periods But It was so cool to find this album on vinyl. Gotta love these old tunes

Just realized this song has no chorus, just verses. Still sounds awesome after all these years.

Been blowing up on tiktok recently the "take a look at my girlfriend part" if only people still appreciated entire albums, and not just one snippet of one song

Supertramp is one of those bands the you never hear about, you sometimes hear it on the radio but you usually don't think much of it. But once you listen to songs like this, you'll understand how truly amazing these songs have. My Dad showed me this band and I loved it instantly, it was the song "School", I'm looking deeper and deeper at this band and the whole world needs to know this band, you can connect to these songs, you can sing to these songs, you can dance to these songs, you will never forget these songs...
