Brandon Sanderson is an absolute writing machine and he's spoiled us. Elantris, Warbreaker, Mistborn, The Stormlight Archive... he's written so many books I love!

Pretty sure Brando Sando is 3 typewriter robots in a trench coat.

He's not writing fantasy, he's just writing about his allomatic and feruchemical powers and presenting them as fantasy. He's already immortal.

I'm ready for Sanderson to go ahead and complete the Rothfuss Name of the Wind series.

well to be fair, stephen king writes like a madman aswell. The dark tower took 22 years, but he wrote 2/3 books per year since the 70's and he is still going

bro writes a 700-page novel in his spare time because he is bored in the middle of writing a 1200-page novel.

The fun thing about it is that(for me who consumes any type of reading material like a maniac) I perceive all his books as high quality form of entertainment. His books tell us that the readers are intelligent. Not to mention his female POVs are very real. It's so rare for a male writer to write women better than women writer does and I could gush about it. He's too good. So lucky to be in this era.

At this point, I want Brandon to hurry up and finish ASOIAF because Lord knows Martin isn't going to.

And it took Patrick Rothfuss 6853 years to finish his series

Le Guin didn't leave Earthsea unfinished for decades; it was finished with The Farthest Shore in 1972, and then she later decided to add one more book in 1990 and then another two in 2001.

All the things you said are cool and correct. We are spoiled.
However, I was completely distracted by that Chocobo shirt Brandon was wearing! Big Final Fantasy need here. 😅

Nora Roberts puts out 4 books a year. Two under her own name and two under her pseudonym J.D. Robb. I love her J.D. Robb books!

To be fair if you consider the cosmere one big series then it'll take decades for him to finish
