Lol that’s not survival food... those are freeze dried backpacking meals. They have tons of sodium because backpackers are sweating a crazy amount and drinking tons of water. You’re only supposed to eat them like once a day TOPs.

Or you could buy some canned food, a bunch of ramen, some rice and tons of water. And also a camping stove (sth nin electrical to heat food). Oh, and maybe some dried fruit as well?

Those are for backpacking/hiking/camping. And they are not single serving. My husband and son share a meal during their trips.

Mountain House is good. I take it camping for a quick meal because you only have to heat water. Never had any stomach issues from it.

Those are what I use when Backpacking/back country camping... not really meant for a regular day of activity. but for days of Carrying Heavy packs and lots of hiking and activity.

🚨 As a person living in a emergency (Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico). I think you guys had it pretty good comparing to the thousands of people who only have packets of "lunchbox food" and just a couple of bottles of water for a family of 4 or more. Some people expect to have this kind of stuff provided by those who know what an emergency is, but that is not happening yet for some families.

They should try eating only MREs for a week.

Here's a suggestion: breakfasts: oatmeals, Lunches: soups and crackers, Dinners: pasta with meat and veggies. Throw in few pouches of dried fruits for snacks. Done. Cost about a fraction of this and a TON less sodium.
