In this video we're going to talk about the best nootropics for 2020. What's been trending over the last year and what people are using today.

Most of the nootropics I explain in detail in this video are included in the following pre-made stacks:

If you're new to nootropics, this video will help you sort your brain optimization goals into categories. It'll make it easier for you to select the right nootropics for each goal.

And if you're an experienced neurohacker, you may pick up some new ideas. Like the two nootropics I've added since my 2019 video.

This is a longer video than I normally do. So feel free to use the time stamps below to click through to parts that interest you.

I'll be talking about the best nootropics for:

- processing speed, decision-making, focus, flow and thinking
- learning and memory
- anxiety and depression
- energy and motivation
- brain repair and maintenance

I'll also explain what it means when a supplement bottle says to "take it with a meal" and what you can do instead.

And I'll finish with how you can select the best pre-formulated nootropic stacks once you've figured out what it is you're trying to accomplish.

I use every one of the nootropics explained in this video and use them every day for a better functioning brain. My hope is that what works for me will work for you too.

There is only a limited amount of nootropics that could be recommended in a single list. But I find useful these also: ashwaghanda (to reduce stress), polygala (powerful for mood healing/boost), pramiracetam for incredible focus and productivity, coluracetam to be better socially, NAC for a lot of health benefits and mood fix. And to the contrary for some reason, my experience with aniracetam was lacking.

First, does the body build a tolerance to any of nootropics you discussed that may need to be cycled?

I was diagnosed with CFS/Fibromyalgia 20 years ago and Rhodiola was my 1st nootropic several years ago and i felt like the effects started to diminish after about 4 to 5 months. I then started to cycle it 3 months on then 1 month off to help prevent this. Did I infact build a tolerance?
This is also the point when I began to build a stack and added L-Theanine and Ashwagandha.
Since then after years of research, specialists, and trial and error my stack now consists of ... A highly rated multivitamin,
L-Theanine and caffeine,
Ashwagandha, Turmeric, B-Complex, Aniracetam, Fish Oil, Rhodiola, CoQ10, vitamin D3, Magnesium, Zinc, and Creatine. I suppose D3 and Magnesium aren't actually classified as nootropics but if someone is significantly deficient in either one like I was, and research shows many people are (especially in D3), getting those levels up to ideal will definitely feel like taking a powerful nootropic.

I am interested in Mind Lab Pro to get more bang for the buck but I have concerns that the sulbutamine will cause anxiety which has happened in the past when trying a sulbutamine powder by itself.

Hello, I feel the best when I just take caffeine and L-Tyrosine. I am more confident and social. Do you think this could indicate that I have a defficieny in dopamine. What other nootropics would you suggest to give me a similar feeling to caffeine and Tyrosine?

Taurine, small magnesium, Theanine works very well for me. Pine bark and grape seed extract also help.
My memory also got boost by doing intermittent fasting, which is a different topic.

So are these all different supplements that we should take at once ? Or are they each a nootropic pill ?

Hi,

What do you think about Qualia Focus?

In Comparison to Mind Lab Pro it contains more ingredients and higher dosages.

David, thank you so much! I have already incorporated many of the supplements you recommend, but I have medications I have to take and I also had an RNY gastric bypass 10 years ago, so method of delivery are a primary concern for me. I am struggling with all of the capsules. Of the stacks you recommend, can I break the capsules open and add them to water or oatmeal? I am struggling to come up with a workable schedule to take these on - really struggling. Any feedback you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am considering the stacks you recommended, but I can't reach anyone at Opti to answer my questions.
