When flying, the cost of a ticket is determined by the seat rather than the weight of the person buying it. This means that non-obese individuals are already subsidizing the cost for those who are obese, despite weight being a significant factor in fuel efficiency.

I remember about a year and a half ago being almost 400 pounds and having to use the seatbelt extension to be able to fly on a plane and how that felt, now at 235, leaner than last time, I bust my ass to drop the weight, put on muscle and the feeling I had when the first time I flew without being uncomfortable, squeezed in my seat and now not having to use that seat extender WAS PRICELESS! Airlines don’t have to accommodate with bigger seats, she need to DO THE DAMN WORK AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR HER POOR WAY OF LIVING!

I used to weigh around 270, seating in public transportation was always very uncomfortable, I would have to hold my arms together so i wouldn't have my weight on ppl, but I always realized that I was the problem not the seat, I always travel first class for the extra space. I'm down 50 lbs so far, seats that felt tiny are feeling normal again. ❤ Thanks Greg for always keeping it real.

Man, i'm 360lbs right now (i was 440lbs at the start of this year) and i always feel uncomfortable about my size when i'm around people not because i'm ashamed but because i don't wanna cause any problem or disconfort to other just because i'm fat. The idea that someone really think that the world should adapt to my unhealty size is mind boggling

It doesn't bother her to pay more for the unnecessary food she's eating, so it shouldn't bother her to pay more for 2 or 3 seats

"Rather than thinking about how to change the world to better accommodate you, think about how can I change myself to better accommodate the world" you nailed it! 👍

I remember getting kicked off a roller coaster because the restraints wouldn't go down. Once I realized that my size was interfering with my personal life, I began to realize the seriousness of my health problems when it came to my weight. From that day forward, rather than demanding accommodations be made for me, I made a change. I watched what I ate and I made it a point that I would never allow myself to be embarrassed in public like that again. Since that day I've lost 70lbs, the freedom I feel is great.

This happened to me a few weeks ago, on a 3 hour flight, I had the middle seat, an obese dude had the isle. I had to bend myself the entire flight and lean over the window seat. The guy had to rest his head on the seat in front of him the entire flight to fit in the chair. When we landed I had people mention to me that they felt bad for me. it was the worst most uncomfortable flight of my life

18 months ago I stepped on a scale and reached an all time high (and low) of 501lbs. 3 months later I went through with a gastric sleeve I’d been trying to get for a year. 9 months after that I started cardio, which caused me to limp after a half mile and would sometimes take days to recover from. I stayed with it and eventually got to walking 2 miles a day with no limping. 3.5 months ago I started weight training. Today I am 303lb and somehow in better shape than my married weight of 205Lb. I feel like I’m proof of what Coach Greg just said.

If you think of passengers as cargo that needs to be transported from point A to point B, it makes perfect sense that bigger and heavier people should be charged more because they take up more space and cause the plane to use more fuel.

I was 13 and 280lbs using excuses like not enough money to diet or no access to a gym even though my local gym requires no membership, 15 now and down to 214 its not a lot for the amount of time but the point is that you just gotta be consistent even if its few pounds a month atleast your losing something and if you don't have a gym do body weight workouts or even run or jog around your block anyone reading this on their weightloss journey you got this bro your almost there even if you just started 🙏🙏

You know what is funny about this video. I went on a trip to las vegas being 326 pounds walking around the strip not being able to keep up with my friends or always stopping for air. I realized how poor my health really was when I got back I dieted went to the gym now i'm at 198 I have kept the weight off! Still working hard to get to 160! ❤💪

Changing themselves would be too hard, that would require personal reflection and taking responsibility for their actions. It’s so much more convenient to blame literally anyone or anything else for their problems.

I'm with you on this one Greg. When I was at my heaviest at 380lbs at 6'3, I was embarrassed that I couldn't fit in amusement Park rides, economy seats, car seats, the list goes on and on but I knew that this was because of my bad decisions, not because everyone was against me and made the seats too small. In the end I got sick of feeling like this and the shame that I felt so I changed it. 50lbs down and 1/3rd of the way to my goal. I look forward to sitting in seats comfortably and not having to use seat belt extenders. We are responsible for our own decisions in life and have no right to expect others to accommodate for those poor decisions. We are the masters of our own destiny.

Two years ago and weighing 320 pounds, I was removed from a carnival ride because the overhead shoulder safety mechanism couldn't securely lock into place. I had always accepted my weight as an absolute because I functioned just fine and seemed healthy enough so being 320 pounds couldn't be that bad. Well, this all happened in front of my girlfriend, which made it the most embarrassing moment is my life. Seeing the scale hit 270 this week is validating. The toughest thing to overcome was mindset and the desire for instant results. The work shows, just gotta keep pushing

The other element that seems to be overlooked is the safety issue. In the event of an emergency evacuation some of these plus sizes would struggle to get out of their seat and then negotiate a narrow aisle

The fact that she suggests doing exercise on the plane, but not every other day is too funny 😂 😂
