NY driver here. Yes, That same permatex antiseize attracts dirt and grime like crazy. Been using it for over 10 years on coils though, I just clean it and reapply twice a year. T9 I had the opportunity to use but never did lol, using it next time.

I am a first time VW owner of a 2019 Jetta SEL and now that I have some money I can spare, I wanted to get new tires/wheels and lower the vehicle since 99% of people recommended that to me. Except, I am not much of a car person and didn't know what to look for or ask for. My previous car was a manual Ford Focus RS that was mistakenly sold to me as a Focus Titanium lol.

But man, this simplified things for me, I cant wait to continue my research on some mods I can do myself on this car.

Good info. One thing I would like to know is if damper adjustments can increase/decrease rubbing once you nail the fitment. Basically, will a soft setting create too much movement?

Spray plastidip on the threads then remove before adjusting. Best way to protect coilover threads!!

@Deutche Auto Parts You missed something. Can you please talk about the options for those of us with adjustable dampening controlled by the car, and what options are available, with aftermarket coil-overs, to hook into the car's software. E.G.: My Audi will adjust the dampening based on if I'm in Comfort, Auto, or Dynamic mode. If Im looking to add aftermarket coil-overs, to replace the factory struts, how will the car be able to make those dynamic adjustments when I switch modes? Is it even possible at all?
