The terms psychopath and sociopath are often used interchangeably, but they aren't quite the same thing.

To find out, we asked James Fallon, a neuroscientist at the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine who specializes in studying psychopaths (and also happens to be one himself).

This is only a small thing, but charismatic psychopaths don’t tend to talk fast... In fact, they may talk slower than the average person. Speaking slowly allows them more time to think about what they’re saying, therefore helping them to make their words/lies/emotions come across as more believable.

so a sociopath is basically that story you hear of the guy who had a terrible childhood but deep down he alwalys just wanted dad to love him and then at the end of hte story when dad loves him he changes etc etc. a psychopath would probably kill their own father and feel nothing.

Im just wondering if these facts were written by a psychopath, i mean 99% of it is spot on correct but a lot of it would have to be experienced to be completely understood before being able to confidently come up with a list like this.

Fun fact: people who say they are psychopaths/sociopaths to everyone for fame probably aren't.

But if you truly believe you are please don't suppress your feelings because of your reputation. Please get a Dignosis!

All meat bags have innate operating systems, the mentioned included can arise as dysfunctions or alterations for adaptive purposes. However what are deemed as dysfunctions are far more deeply and commonly shared, psychopathy is but an obvious one, a behavioral response to one's environment, the principle of a soul is switched off as to survive and adapt under constant threat of inevitable punishment or as calibration to constant pain triggering. This can be trained into animal and human subjects by reward pleasure behavioral response mechanisms and is amusing for some, the chemical homeostasis principle alters the original intent of emotion to be more inclusive under stress, excitement arises from pain, disgust arises from kindness, fear from specific behavioral patterns in people, empathy and emotion loses all meaning and from here only the conscious surrender to cultivating a moral compass which re aligns one beliefs and behaviors is the solution. This is the case in all religion, culture, indoctrination, brainwashing programs and ideology doctrines, the chaotic aspect of the process must be concluded with re ordering of the mental systems via practical discipline. However the chaotic destabilization of one's psych can be re ordered by themselves as through adapting to their environment to work efficiently as possible or through means or of one's own moral re calibration. In other words its easy to shatter someone's psyche, especially if the real estate between their ears and lungs is on loan to you and you can manage their most valuable assets profitably, from here its play time, so be wise about your self-investment as not all have your best interests at heart, some shit on all they touch and life is goes on uncaringly, nature is merciless... life is an exquisite melody of pleasure and pain which guides all whom partake its coarse, the majority play an empty role and die meaninglessly as they live, so find or create a purpose that fulfils you, share it and depart this place satisfied.

Omg it's not hard they have the same traits but the main thing is a psychopath is born the way they are a sociopath is created from their upbringing or somthing I hate when people get it wrong

I’ve actually heard that Psychopaths are actually more impulsive but that could be because they are less afraid of the consequences

it's funny I fit into both of those categories but I would like to say I'm more of a sociopath just because I can feel anxiety and my own personal pain and every once in a while Gilt but I do not feel any remorse or sympathy. so now when people ask me what's wrong with me I can just share the link to this video and they can understand so thank you

Okay that first statement was wrong... I've seen people with the perfect upbringing nice household great loving and caring family be a complete psychopath. Yet I've also seen people who were abused there entire life have a shit upbringing and poor as shit be one of the most wholesome people you've ever met. And the other way around. The whole questioned of nature vs nurture is way more complicated then just up bringing some people sometimes are just born even when. Given everything some people are just born good when Given nothing. Some people who are bor w8th everything are good and some people who are born with nothing can be evil. My whole point is its a mix of both. Upbringing can be a part it bur it's not always the case its a mix of both

Hitler was a psychopath .
Mussolini was a sociopath.
Why did their regime involved a lot of killing. The Psychopaths actions are defensive they seek legality from others to perform the killing. While sociopaths are offensive in nature, they'll attack any one who is trying expose his crime, w/c Mussolini did at age 14, he nearly killed school mate who exposed his cheating in a card game. But why did millions have to die. ? Hitler was the rose among the thorns, he surrounded by sociopaths who were secretive of misdeeds. Hitler only knew that something was wrong the allies asked unconditional surrender . In the dying days Hitler found out his rumors to be true. His Sociopaths had betrayed him. That's you have to keep those two personality apart.
