My dad loved crocheting and I have many treasured pieces now he has passed away. My brother is also a very accomplished crocheter and even had a full feature in a craft magazine here in the U.K..
I enjoyed watching your new hobby so much and it brought back many memories of the hats, scarves and blankets made for me by my Dad and my treasured baby blanket by my brother.
Thank you 💚🍓💚

I've been crocheting for 2 years now. I actually made a project and sold it ❤ this activity taught me And once you start you don't wanna stop. Just be careful with your hands and take breaks.

I've been wanting to get into crochet so badly but I'm worried that it's super hard and I won't get better 🤣 But seeing how you got better each time gives me inspiration to try it! ❤️😃

Hi Minori, I want to give you a tip: if you crochet in the round, like with your strawberry, you can use a piece of string in a different color to guide along between your rounds. So, when you finish a round, you can use your string to mark your new round. That way you know where you started and ended. You could also use a stitchmarker, but I personally prefer a piece of string because that’s easier for me.

My mom is a pro crocheter/knitter and she tried to teach me multiple times thorough my life, but I struggled to understand the directions. I kind of got determined after seeing your video, sat my mum to it and learned how to chain stitch, so at least I can make a noodle. :D Fast forward to this weekend when I finally understood why my magic ring won't close and cranked out small toys for my cats in 3 afternoons. It is such a relaxing hobby, and you are doing definitely way better than I did first! Thanks for motivating me to crash through my "yarn block" and to be able to learn a new life skill! <3
EDIT: the cats are not allowed to play with the toys unless we superwise, we are aware of the danger of yarn pieces to cats and we take anything away that gets too loose. No worries! :)

The light in your tent when you went camping....so cool!! The area reminded me of when I went camping with my grandparents when I was a teenager! Crochet [and knitting] just takes practice! My mom taught me to crochet, and at first I had a small ball of yarn and a hook...would crochet until the ball ran out, unravel the work, and do it all over again. Really good practice! As for that uneven edge...no worries, it's really easy to end up with that, heck, I've been crocheting for a long time [roughly 40 years, if I'm remembering correctly when I first learned...] and STILL get that problem occasionally. The best thing about crochet is that it's really easy to frog [pulling the stitches out] back to where you made a mistake, fix it, and keep going! Your hats are amazing, you're definitely getting the hang of it!

Ty for sharing your journey in trying something new. I have been crocheting now for some 30 odd yrs & I still am so so, w/SOOO much to learn still. I just use to make blankets/Afghans but then starting venturing into beanies, made my 1st ever amigurumi, 1st ever tapestry, etc. Practice makes better, as you stated. I appreciate your mindset & outlook, along w/you letting know everyone that failures will happen but that those failures are a part of the growth in learning something new. Enjoy your content. Keep it up!

Hey Minori, Here's A Helpful Tip : When you have some larger than normal holes in the project you're working on, just use some same colored Thread🧵 & simply sow the holes closed with a few basic stitches & you'll even Forget that they're in there & No One Will Ever Notice, Premise ! 😁 Hope this little Tip helps. - Cheers From 🇨🇦 🙋🏻‍♀️

I think for just starting up again after a long hiatus you’re doing really well in crochet! 🧶 The key is to not stop practicing and keep going, even if it’s just a little every day. My favorite thing to crochet are blankets. Loved seeing your fun camping & strawberry trip 🩷thank for all your amazing fun videos

I also started 2 or 3 mouths ago
And one thing I found in much easier is that instead of working on the project and watching video tutorials at the same time
I write the pattern and start working and when I don't understand something I go back to it
Also, instead of working on a big project and using big sized hook that takes time and will hurt your hands and wrists especially for a beginner, I advise you to work on small, normal siz things like keychains
For me, I made cats rabbits and bears and other cute things
For you to train your hands and to know more stitches

And I hope you the best in your journey ❤❤❤
