JD just came out and said they informed him that they will not be trading him, he needs to show up and be with his team and if he does not he will continue to be fined. until then, the focus is on the players who are currently on hand. I am usually pro-player with the NFL because players have been treated like trash in the past by teams. For this situation, I am pro-Jets, Reddick is still under contract and could of gotten a extension if he came to minicamp to negotiate but he has play out this year then can go elsewhere.

Reddick has zero leverage. This is an idiotic move on his part. Ask for some incentives and some guaranteed money so that you can ball out and get paid next year by the highest bidder. This approach is completely destroying his earning potential.

Jets should have kept John Franklin-Myers and should have never traded for Reddick. Even though the Jets didn't have elite pass rushers, they had solid depth at the DE position because they are good run defenders.

He could show up for game 1 and the 15m is guaranteed as long as he isn't cut. Even if he gets injured he still gets paid for the length of his injury. You can't just have a guy making 50m getting injured in game 1 then cut him for 50m in cap savings.

The only thing I worry about is the stupid potential court case where Reddick suits up for game 1 then claims injury the rest of the season.
