That is terrible mediocre management on behalf of Joe Douglas and I hope that it doesn’t hurt us in the end

Howie trained Joe for less than 5 years. Basically, he's was a rookie, and just like that, he gets the Jets GM job.. "HEY, Joey, I need a favor. We've got problems.". You're down an EDGE. Thank you, by the way, and I... have one too many." - Howie..
"I'm good, Howie." - Joey
"Were you good when I gave you an opportunity.. Joey? "

It’s crazy a team can cut you or trade you without any kind of heads up. However, when you want out of a situation or more pay you’re the bad guy. The CBA needs to come together and work out some kind of middle ground where everyone is content.

This guy opened with “I do not understand”
Yeah bud, we know you don’t. You’ve been wrong with just about every public take.
Your hat says “3&OUT”… more like 1 and done

How dare a team ask a player to honor their contract lol. This is how I would always handle holdouts, and I wouldn’t negotiate with holdouts. I think teams cede leverage when they do that. At the end of the day you either show up and do your job, or you’re hurting your value on your next contract. I think SF has completely mishandled this Brandon Aiyuk situation by pretending he has any leverage. Go ahead and sit out and tank your value.

he should just show up, not really do anything and collect his check

I mean the dude showed up for a press conference and physical, and then hasn't been in the building since 😂 for one, he's already under contract, so the idea that they are not paying him is openly false. And two, there has to be some level of negotiating in good faith. We've seen a number of guys this off-season who are demanding new contracts yet they still are present in the building and keep doing some level of work. This is just locker room cancer
