100% agree on this, I ended up getting this with an RF 200-800 F/6.3-9 plus the EF adapter to use on my EF lenses.

I faced that same decision and went with the R6ii. I love it and am very happy with my choice. I kept my last body for over 10 years and am planning the same with this one. Sure my glass collection isn't as great right now, but I will be adding to it over time where it will be a long time before I replace this body.

I ended with the R50 because of price and I’m happy with it. First thing I did was get a nifty fifty, now if only I could find someone who wants to buy a kit lens😂

I might consider switching to Full Frame once the Sigma RF lenses will be available, because yes lenses do last, but still you can get 3rd party lenses that are very close to first party lenses

As a more video oriented person i would propably lean towards the Arri Alexa Mini. I think it strikes a nice balance between price and image quality

Got the R8 myself now! Enjoying it, battery life does suck yeah 😂 and memory slot placement sucks seeing how i use a tripod often.

Don't forget to also consider other factors, when I bought my first camera (which is the one I use today) I paid 6.8k, I should have paid 10k for the successor model and would have avoided a fuckin bad rolling shutter visible in 4k video, not to mention that it doesn't even have 60fps in 4k (something I really miss), it was only like that because it didn't depend on me to buy the camera, it was a gift.

In other words, if you buy a camera for the price, you'll be in trouble when you need to use a feature that this model performs very poorly.

I would go with R6 the original one mark 1. Should cost about R8 but bigger battery with ibis

I personally would recommend the cheapest option available on your preferred manufacturers website that can do what you want. So the Z50 or Z6III.
