This term is generally used in rheumatoid arthritis and seronegative spondylo arthritis. Remission means good disease control. in person with rheumatoid arthritis, a good disease control means that no joints which are painful, no joints which are swollen and the inflammatory markers which are like CRP and ESR are within normal limits. So with treatment we aim to achieve the normal limits as much as possible to achieve remission. With current treatment approach remission can be achieved in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis.
