I remember being 11 years old getting hooked on Benny Hill. I became a father and turned my son into a fan. Today, I did the same thing to my grand kids. I want them to know that cheeky comedic content is fine and it is okay to enjoy. Everything doesn't need to be 'woke' or 'canceled', because comedy is about parodying life and the uncomfortable truths in it. It helps us accepts our shortcomings by laughing at them. Benny was a genius at this.

I remember watching this same sketch when I was a kid in México in the 80s. That music got embeded in my memory until now and now that I watch it again it's even more hillarious now as an adult. Woodstick wah, wah, wah, wah, Woodstick yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

The Beatles grew up with Benny Hill on the telly in the 1950's. Not sure what they thought of him as teenagers. I'm American and first saw Benny in 1965 in Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines. Mom took me to see that and I do remember I liked it and the theme song.

Must admit when I was a teenager in the 80's I didn't really watch or take much notice of Benny Hill but this is friggin hilarious. It's even funnier to me now because we live in such serious times
