Watch the full Real Talk w/ Zuby Podcast ft. Larry Elder here:

Zuby and Larry Elder discuss the unique political landscape of California, where liberal dominance seems entrenched despite demographic shifts. Elder highlights Trump's policies benefiting minorities and challenges media narratives about him.

They also dissect misinterpretations of Trump's statements, illustrating how biases persist even in the face of contrary evidence. Their conversation underscores the complexity of political polarization and the power of media narratives in shaping public opinion.

Feminists: "It is unsafe for women to walk down the street because of men!"
Reporter: "So what do you propose we do about this?"
Feminists: "We need to abolish the police and allow anyone to go into women's locker rooms!!"

I moved out of California in July 2019. In March I went back to visit my brother and nephews. He was complaining about how his utility bills keep going up and the high gas prices. When we drove through Sacramento you could clearly see things have gone downhill since I left in 2019 and when I ask him why doesn’t he stop voting for the democrats he said the alternative would be a lot worse. I just looked at him and kept silent.

I live in California. I don’t think anyone I’ve ever voted for has been elected. I simply don’t understand the people of California. I don’t care what party you belong to, do you not see what the people in charge have done to this state?

I will never forget how horrendously Larry was treated, during his run for replacement gov. a couple years ago... well beyond absolutely terrible

I worked with an African American guy who was raised in Palo Alto in a well off family. He told me he didn't "learn how to be black" until he got to college. Wow!

I'm Filipino and considered a "person of color" who grew up in California (L.A.) during the 80s and 90s and we always leaned red but never advertised that. Grew up going to church, not trusting the government and being pro 2A. I left in 2018. It's sad how most Californians now make moves based on politics. The government doesn't care about you man. Real Americans just want to make money and be left alone.

I was born and raised in California. What an amazing place it used to be. I now live in Florida. There is nothing that would convince me to move back to California now.

San Francisco politics was allowed to spread to the rest of the state.

I left CA in 2022. Identity politics has polarized the whole country. We've gotten terrible at listening to people we disagree with. There is no political accountability when one party has no fear of losing an election. Absolute power corrupts absolutely

I think Argentina is an example that dire situations can be rectified, but it requires massive changes. Argentina fired over half of their government employees, and ended most of their government programs. Unless people are willing to make those changes and vote out those that are continuing bad policies, nothing will change.

I have lived in California since 1979. It was nice here in 1979 - now it is a shit-hole. I will leave as soon as it is logistically possible.

I met Trump years ago before his presidency during a business meeting. He was so so nice to me. I was the only black man in the room. He even took a picture with me.
Years later, they call racist in the news. I was like..wait what!

It's not hard to figure out. Prior to a recent California election I got a flyer from an incumbent candidate describing all the government giveaway programs he was connected with. Nothing about fiscal responsibility, nothing about encouraging businesses to come to California, nothing about growing the tax base. In California you get elected by promising something for nothing.

I'm from Pasadena, CA, born and raised. When I lived in South Africa for 8 years, I saw the same dynamic with the ANC as with the Dems. But honestly worse. They have no shame in their corruption. But no matter how much they stole from the people in broad daylight and did "fokol" with their promises, black people in the rural areas would still show up to vote for them because "they are the party that won our freedom". And in that country, youth unemployment is like 40%. At least California has Silicon Valley lol.

!972 at the age of 20 I hitch hiked from Dallas, TX. across the country to Laguna Beach, CA and up to Tacoma, WA. I was stopped several times by police, and they all checked my ID but treated me well. I grew up poor and I had three weeks off before my carpenter's jobs next project One Mexican police officer in a county south of LA had a long chat with me. He said he was taking a job in Texas my home state because he found the people friendly. He said, Californians are rude and don't dare for others. He said I would find people more friendly as I traveled north up the coast. I will always remember his kindness he also helped me get a room for the night. What he said I found to be true. Now days the whole west coast is like southern California was in 1972.

They are Taught Republicans are for the Rich and Democrats are for the Poor, nothing is going to change that mindset
my wife friend when she became a citizen and ask what party to check democrat or republican she asked what's the difference and that is what she was told, so she votes straight democrats, and never used one second of her life educating herself about any issue or history of the country or state... just floating around in LaLa Land and Ripe for Communist

I believe, wholeheartedly, that California CAN be fixed…. But I believe even more strongly that it WON’T be fixed. At least not until something really, really bad happens and their system fully collapses. And I hate to think that way because I’m from SoCal and spent 37 of my 43 years there, my family is all still there, and it was an incredible place to grow up, right up until around the late 90s/early 2000s. If I remember correctly, 99 was when the shift happened. Democrat governor, state house and senate started going left, and ever since they’ve had a monopoly on power in the state. They control everything, and the real problem is they are patently incapable of admitting to any mistake and taking responsibility, they refuse to be accountable to anyone, and they refuse to change even in the face of disastrous unforeseen consequences of their policies.
