As someone who battled with depression I always felt deep connection to the obvious raw pain in Chester's singing. Thank you for the reaction. Means alot. ❤️

Chester Bennington had very hard life. He was so blessed and talented. He just couldnt over come his demons. He was also major songwriter for lots of artists. And the saying " Sang like an angel, screamed like a demon" fits him perfectly. Btw, this is one of the rare bands that their first song release hit big and for about 20 years, they stayed big.

Chester fought mental illness most his life...😢. He was amazing, the way he sang to you and was able to express emotion of all levels...love his music...💔💔

On this song, Chester is singing lead vocals, Mike is doing background vocals. Mike is singing " caught in the undertow". Chester was a powerful vocalist. A personal favorite is Powerless. It's off of their Living Things album and is the very last track. Chester is singing, no scream vocals, just pure Chester and the power of his voice. I absolutely love that song.

It makes me emotional. I was a goth outcast and dealt with a lot of bullshit at home and from LPs first album they kept me alive. When people would bully and tease me I would sing their music in my head to try to drown out what they were saying and doing. I didn’t kill myself because I knew if I did I’d miss their music. When I heard Chester who’s music kept me alive took his own life I cried so hard. Seeing his face and hearing his music is so bittersweet for me and still years later chokes me up. I wish be could’ve pulled through. Depression and mental illness isn’t a joke. If y’all have mental illness please do not feel ashamed to get help. You owe it to nobody but yourself. Sending love to you all. ❤

One of the best front man voices ever. Layne Staley from Alice In Chains was another powerful voice

If you listen to his lyrics, you can understand that Chester was in pain. I'm old and all of my favorite singers are dead via overdose or suicide. Chester, Layne Staley and Chris Cornell really got to me. My age and everything to live for, but it was not enough to take away the pain. People who commit suicide don't want to die; they want rid themselves of the pain.

I miss Chester. I’m so grateful I grew up with LP, lived their heyday in real-time, and was able to experience their live shows. Incredible.

I want to express gratitude to all of your reactions when her scars were shown. Self harm is so often misunderstood and it was honestly warming (for lack of a better word) to see reactions of empathy rather than judgement and disgust.

Thank you guys, for being wonderful.
