Disney Theory: Peter Pan's Shadow Explained!

Isaac explains Peter Pan's shadow by identifying what the shadow represents and comparing to Dr. Facilier's shadow.

Peter Pan flies through the sky on adventures, fighting pirates and voyaging to the mainland. On one of these journey's to the mainland while listening to stories by a young girl Wendy, his shadow is stolen from him by Wendy's dog Nana. But how does this happen!?

I like your theory. I think another possible theory could be that his shadow is the very small part of him that wants to still grow up. Everyone has a part of themselves, no matter how small it may be, that wants to grow up and have a family of their own. Perhaps Peters shadow is that part and figures that if it can escape him outside of Neverland then it will grow up.

Fun fact: in the book "Peter Pan and The Shadow Thieves" published by a Hyperion Books, there is an antagonist named "Lord Ombra" who has the power to manipulate and possess other people through their shadows' and his own shadow power's. Also, he strongly resembles the description of the Phantom Boss fight from Kingdom Hearts final mix.

I think that the reason why Nana pulled Peter's shadow off was because she might of thought that Peter was a intruder and was trying to protect the Darling children. And I think that the reason why Peter's shadow ran away from him was because it didn't want to be put back on him cause it Never get's to do whatever it want and go wherever it want cause it was always stuck with Peter and always had to do everything he does.

This actually makes a bit of sense to me. In Ancient Egypt, people believed that there were five parts to the soul: the ba, wich is the personality, the ka, which is the life force, the ib, which is the heart, the ren, which is the secret name (identity), and the sheut, which is the shadow.

i think that Oogi Boogie from Nightmare before Christmas is actually the ghost of Dr Facilliea since not only is their music style the same but i also think that some of their mannerisms are the same.

I thought this was the creepy pasta one you know where a family finds an old Peter Pan tape but the shadow kills Wendy and then the kids go to sleep but one of the kids wake up at midnight and see Peter Pan’s shadow on the bottom of the top bunker staring down at him so he goes to his parents and sleeps in their bed and then when they walk home from school they feel like they’re being followed but at midnight the same kid wakes up and sees his shadow against the wall so the kid goes for his knife but his brother wakes up and screams when he sees the shadow and then the shadow is gone with a crumpled up piece of red paper that says 13 5/6 (I think) and his brother can never talk again
