Could have done waaaay better for $900. A 2700x is like $50 and a 2060 isn’t even worth buying considering the used market is terrible. A 6700 is $250 right now.

For today's price you might be able to squeeze in a RTX 3060 get a Ryzen 5700 squeezed in as well maybe if you use less fancy RGB lights you can get some good performance out of it

cpu: ryzen 5 5600 (used)
gpu: rx 6600 xt (if you have more money get a 6700 xt off of ebay, it’s way stronger)
ram: corsair vengeance lpx
mobo: b550m-vc wifi
psu: corsair rm750x or rm650x (do not buy a used psu!!)
case: h5 flow rgb (you can pick any case you like MAKE SURE ITS COMPATIBLE ON PCPARTPICKER)
storage: crucial p3 1tb (id recommended more storage if you can afford it)
cpu cooler: gammax 400

should cost around 800 give or take 30 dollars

Cut down to 1tb of storage and don’t buy the extra fans. Get a montech case for like $50 if you want rgb and get a used gpu for even more price to performance. Microcenter also has some pretty good cpu/mobo combo deals too.

You can do wayy better now a days.

I would suggest going for an rx 6700xt which offers performance identical to the rtx 2080 super, and then squeez whatever midrange cpu you can get your hands on. Some good ones would be a ryzen 5 5600 or an i5-12400f

You can get a i3-12100f and Rx 6600 build for under $600 like I did. It’ll also get 33% higher frames. That CPU is hard bottlenecking. If you want to stick in Ryzen for that price go down a model and up in gens. Get a Ryzen 5 5600, it’s like double as fast for probably the same price. Old processors are not the move.

If you’re on a budget, skip the bells and whistles. 1TB NVME drives are like $60-90 and you don’t need LED fans. You also spent your money on a 120mm AIO. You can save money buying a decent air cooler.

Dont get a aio cooler and get a cheaper case that already comes with built in fans, and you’ll save way more money. People get aio fans mostly for aesthetics and rgb for the looks but you’ll end up turning them off or facing them the other way bc it gets on the way when you’re running games.

i got a 6600xt for like 175 bucks used and a 3600x and x570 combo for 160 bucks used. A unused 650w gold modular still in plastic psi from a friend for 65 bucks. 32gb of 3600mhz corsair ddr4 for 60 bucks used. and bought a realy solid coolermaster case for 70 bucks that can fit two 360mm aio's for future upgrades. X570 was chosen to later buy a used 5800x3d and i plan on upgrading my psu when i do that to upgrade to a 7900 series gpu. and possiblu watercool it with gpu and cpu aio's. and lexar nm790 2tb ssd for like 95 bucks new.
