I think this could've been avoided with adding the command "You are to perform this task until it is either completed, or I tell you to stop. Should I tell you to stop attempting the task, it is to be considered complete."

I just noticed that both Beth's and summers requests were psychological and jerrys was a physical action, so maybe Beth and summer could always have achieved those goals with a little tweaking but jerry either could or could not improve
