In the Low Context Cultures, most of the information and meaning is contained in verbal messages, very little in the contextual message.
In the High Context Cultures, very little information is coded in the verbal message; most information is coded in the nonverbal and contextual message.

Being American and having lived in Spain, Sicily, and now Puerto Rico, I concur regarding my personal interactions within each respective culture. I will attest that being originally from New Jersey and also having lived in Northern Florida, that within the US, the South is relatively high context compare to the lower contexted North.
