We flew from East Hampton in Long Island New York to Nantucket Island on our recent cross country trip around the USA this past Spring. Along the way I learned another valuable lesson about what to do when your radios are not working properly. Come along for the ride.

I flew to Nantucket back in June 2021 from Cape Cod Gateway (HYA). We spent three hours touring the town, eating lunch, and sightseeing. This trip looked very familiar!!! The wife was very happy !

Hi Steve. Great video as always. As a fellow SR 22 G6 owner I appreciate watching your journey and the time you put into sharing these videos. We also have in common a great admiration for Obi-Wan Ed Waters. We fly from Connecticut to North Carolina to do IPC‘s with him he’s that good!This video was especially poignant because we have a home in Nantucket, which you flew over on approach. I so appreciate how you go through literally every detail during pre flight. You clearly are a step by step pilot, even when you’re not recording flights. I value all that you do and even take notes so that can customize my very own pre flights, although I’m not at that point yet. Still trying to get sponsorship for the lessons with an IFR rating as well. Thanks so much for your attention to detail and sharing all that you do for the flying community.

I love your videos. I’ve flown that area coming down from Canada many times (not last 18 months with damn Covid). One thing I’ve learned is always let ATC know when you have the field in sight…sounds simple, but 95% of the time they clear you for visual approach and altitude and turns are all yours. Keep up the great work!

Great video - had a similar experience last weekend - i was responding to ATC but they were not hearing me, i switched to the approach frequency on the chart after a few tries and they could hear me again. I have yet to get the Mrs to talk on the radio though….still working on that one!

You sure got it right. You also have a great co-pilot. It's apparent she is into this thing called flying as much as you. Great team. Hope you hopped over to BID. If not try to get there in the future. It's another beautiful place to visit.
