I watched the video about diodes. No wonder you got confused. They mixed hole theory of current flow with electron theory of current flow without explaining the difference. For makers electrons flow from pos to neg terminals which is the theory I learned as an electronics technician. If you are studying to be a an engineer or physicist you learn hole theory of current flow (the current scientific understanding). Hole theory is great to know if you need to design and build semiconductors. Electron theory is easier for wiring real world projects because it has been in use the longest. Sort of like the difference between metric and imperial measurements, it is what you are used to.
