I really like that you can just do whatever you want on linux, even if it breaks something. Whereas on windows, it is near impossible to delete a file that some process is currently using (seriously, why is there no "I don't care if this other process crashes" option?)

Word of warning: when "rm -rf /" traverses /sys/firmware/efi/efivars, deleting its files can brick your mainboard/laptop to the level you'll need to de-solder and reprogram SPI flash (aka BIOS). Don't do that on a physical machine!!!!

Just a little trick for preventing of accidental delete of your files with 'rm -rf *' (but i think it won't work for deleting / as shown in the video):

First create file called '-i' which will force 'rm' command to prompt before removal:

$ touch ./-i

Then to be sure any other user won't remove this file (or you somehow) you can set attribute for this file as unmodifiable:

$ chattr +i ./-i

It's not bullet proof solution and it will be still possible to remove files, but at least it should prevent from 'rm -rf *'.
