As an INFJ, I often observe other people’s mistakes and learn cause and effect from them so I don’t have to go through it.

I feel like I FAILED others. It’s never hit my ego, it’s always hit my pride. I’ll re-evaluate every step, that led to me failing my people. I’ll find the break in the chain, I’ll repair it, and build a new bridge, that does not end, in me failing folks.

Whenever I know I've made a mistake, I make as strong a mental note and make a point to feel glad it wasn't worse or more consequential because there's usually a worse one I didn't make. O better yet, if time allows, I'll write it down and maybe have it appear later in some fashion in my writing for a fictional character. If it's a more consequential mistake, I've learned to try and remember the consequence as a deterrent to its repetition. And I'll just think, it's all good, at least eventually but just maybe down a different path than expected. And that's usually okay too.

100% true! I never make the same life mistake. I never go back and I never do things I don't want to do if I think its a waste of time. But I'm 55 years old and it took years of making the same mistake over and over again. The mistake of not believing in myself and putting my trust in the universe.

Yes, we INFJs are good at learning from our mistakes and sometimes, maybe years down the road, we have to sometimes relearn our mistakes. I have witnessed that ENFJs sometimes have a hard time learning from theirs. However, INTJs also are very good at learning from their mistakes too.
