Couldn't Mount File Error FIX. Sorry, There Was a Problem Mounting the File Error

Follow this simple tutorial to fix the couldn't mount file error in Windows.

Some common causes for this error message:

Internet-downloaded ISO file is blocked – This is the most common reason why the error message occurs in the first place. If you downloaded the file over the Internet, a Windows security feature might have blocked it.

The ISO file is already mounted – Another common reason why this error occurs is if the ISO file is already mounted by Windows. Keep in mind that with certain procedures, Windows might mount the ISO automatically as soon as the download completes.
MicroSD card is interfering with the mounting – A couple of affected users have reported that for them the issue was occurring due to a MicroSD memory card that was inserted.

ISO file is not set to Read Only – Keep in mind that the built-in disk imaging utility will have trouble mounting the ISO file if it doesn’t have a read-only flag. Reports suggest that the initial verifications are specifically looking for that.

thanks! the copy and paste worked, but I can't delete the file after i finished installing, restarted the pc, got a blue screen, then it went back to normal

Followed your steps on how to mount the ISO file, nothing has worked for me and the error still persists. Anything else that I can do? The file is from a windows media creation download for windows 10 over the internet. cheers

Actually i have recorded tv programs in a USB pendrive, and i backuped that file in pc using USB image tool, but PC is showing that the img disc file is corrupted. Any solution??

Hi, I bought a brand new laptop and wanted original ms office 2019 on it, thus purchased through ebay. They sent me a link and I am trying to run this for the last two hours. I heard some noises coming from the laptop ! And then a message as can't mount. Any help please. The laptop is new.
