The 2024 total eclipse seen across North America

From Mazatlan, Mexico, to Montpelier, Vermont, Tucson, Arizona and Montreal, Canada, millions of people across North America gathered to witness a historic total solar eclipse on April 8.

I was lucky to be in complete totality. It was so incredible. The temperature dropped at least 10 degrees.

Saw totality for the first time in my life. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Didn’t realize it would get that dark. The birds started gathering in the trees for the night lol

It was a TOTAL blackout here in Indianapolis. AWESOME!!! My first COMPLETE eclipse in my 71 years !!! Blew me away !!! GLORY to GOD for His wonders!!!

I also watched this total eclipse from France on my television… sent by NASA all over the world! This was my second complete eclipse … first one in France during my holidays from Japan and in our country house.
That was in 1999 … amazing… SILENCE … from any animals … birds .. cattle’s .. really eerie.. we had two labradors.. they ran inside the house whining … I know I will not be on earth for the next one….
I am 81 years old….
What a spectacular sight .. it must have been incredible over the Niagara Falls. Bless you all.

In NH, traffic was backed up for over 9 hours for many/most. There was no honking, arguing, flipping anyone off. People truly did behave. My only complaint was the litter. As evident per my community tab, I pick up my state. There was A LOT to pick up, more than normal.

Please carry in, carry out. Leave no trace. Nature and the wildlife don't deserve that disrespect. Please be more cognizant next time you visit. Thank you❤ (edited a typo)

I’m seriously glad I watched it. It had gotten super dark to where the street lights came on. Mind you it was 3:10 in the afternoon. It was 72 out. Hot when you walked out sun shining bright. When the eclipse happened, it felt as if it dropped 10+ degrees it got a little chilly out. Just amazing. I wish I could see it again.

Perfectly clear near Dayton, Ohio on Monday which doesn’t normally happen in early April. I felt humbled and honored to see my first total eclipse in 69 years!
