What Exactly is Slim Fit, Modern Fit, & Tailored Fit?

I agree with most of this video except for the slim fit comments. I'm 5'8 165 lbs, muscular build, and slim fit pants have always fit me great(from nearly any brand). They usually are fairly roomy in the thigh, and tapered at the calf. A great option for people who don't want to have to get jeans tailored. As for skinny jeans, I do agree; however, if you simply buy them 2-3 in larger than than your normal size(in the waist) they will usually fit similar to a slim jean. Just my opinion. Great vid though!

I find straight cuts the best. All clothing shoukd be tailored. Straight cut assures you have the most options when having it tailored.

Regarding dress shirts, the slim fit will have less room on midsection area and the tailored fit not only has less room on midsection area but also on chest and sleeves

I wear levis skinnny fit jeans and they fit me perfect especially when I put on some oxfords or drivers and a throw on a sport coat or blazer, skinny jeans give the look the best appearance for me when I try any other size jeans it throws it all off!

I just purchased a Skinny Innovator suit from Express and it fits like a dream! I am not skinny. Athletic build. 6'0 175lbs. No need for tailoring!!!

I think slim/modern/tailored really comes down to the brand. I'm no skinny/slim guy by any stretch of the imagination but can only wear extra slim fit dress shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt.

Funny to watch him in the old days. He completely changed his opinion about choosing the right fit.
He is now all about wearing slim fit and even skinny and choosing one size smaller for a better "fit".

I’m so confused. Hahaha all I know is that if I buy classic fit, I wear 42 S, but if I want to wear slim fit then I go with 44 S, same with my pants, classic is 34x30 and slim fit is 36x30. You just have to play around with the different fits.

I learned nothing. It seems like this channel should have plenty of resources so I suggest the following:
-pick one measurement (e.g. cuff or waist)
-get one live model and
-*show* how the types of fit vary while keeping everything else the same.

As someone who's 6'3 and weighs 143 lbs, I'd never use skinny jeans because just as you said my legs look like two strands of spaghetti. But when it comes to suits I HAVE to wear skinny jackets, and even then it usually sits a bit loose
