Good to know this was added to warhammer too. You know the concept of cosmic struggle of law vs chaos and even the 8 pointed star comes from the Michael Moorcock Eternal Champion multiverse books. The champions fight for whichever of the two sides are in danger of being squashed out by the other, creating balance.

Imagine some chaos warbands flock to these chaos gods. It would be interesting to watch/read/play that another faction joins the battle.

I would love more gods to come into the picture. With the old world getting rehashed sometime soon, we could see progression past the end times. Archaon goes on aa quest into the chaos wastes to enter warp space to locate other gods of chaos on his mission to elimate all of the gods.

For everyone saying that this is basically Nurgle:

1. The fundamental difference is that Nurgle represents death, entropy, and stagnation that produce new life: he’s the stagnant pond water that grows algae and mosquitoes, he’s the dead organic matter that feeds maggots and mosquitoes and microorganisms, etc.

The Gods of Law are more about Sterility.

Nurgle is a Bog while the Gods of Law are a desert.

2. These guys are really old lore, and the connection to stagnation for Nurgle might have been an more prominent when these guys were sidelined.

Be interesting to see more new chaos gods come into play. Maybe make a connection between the Emp and the master of light somehow. Honestly I’d just have the emperor full ascend into godhood.

I like the idea of there being many gods slumbering still. I am working on a custom chaos faction based around greed and control but also relief. so I’ll be kit bashing chains on all the models to represent the chaos god having a tight grip not wanting to let them go, but the followers Also feel embraced by the god

Seems like order gods rather than chaos gods. Chaos can be a lot of bad in this universe, but it also represents change rather than the stable/preserved state these gods represent

They're the Gods of order oppose to the Gods chaos. The other side of the coin of extreme anarchy. Tyranny.

This should also mention Malal, the actual anti-chaos chaos god. Although, not strictly a Law god, it is so chaotic that it goes full circle.
