Hi Matthew & i have to agree with you on the new 2022 remix which sounds stunning & my only gripe is my favorite track on Revolver 'She Said She Said' sounds awful as i don't know what Giles Martin has done to the guitar track as it sounds terrible & actually cuts out in places!! The more i listen to it the worse it The Mono mix is great so not all is lost!! As for the outtakes i replied to you on a previous video do we really need another 4 versions of Yellow Submarine but little did i know there would be a couple of astounding versions with John singing which absolutely nobody knew about!! Love it.

Hello Matthew, I definitely have to say the Revolver remix was definitely worth the wait. Giles to me has added so much to the listening experience, its fantastic. My first listen was the vinyl and then the CD version. To me the bass sounded a little heavy on the cds and that might have been because I listened with headphones to the CD copy. But all in all the set is a winner. Thanks for such a enjoyable review it is always good to hear peoples viewpoint of this great album. Take care.

I have to agree this album is mixed really well and just sounds great. It's going to take me awhile to get used to 'She Said She Said'. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album and for my first listen I noticed the symbols weren't there immediately. But what is there is the snare is really bumped up which sounds incredible. For now I'm still going back to the 2009 version of the song but eventually everything will be fine with the 22 mix version. Take care Matthew

I haven't quite warmed up to She Said She Said just yet but the rest of the album is a vast improvement over the original stereo mix.We can only imagine the upgraded sound that Rubber Soul will have next.Now back to listening to Revolver.

She Said She Said on headphone has a more prominent lack of guitars in the beginning which isn’t as apparent on the 2009 stereo remasters (but it’s there) because the guitars are coming from the right channel and it’s harder to notice. In all fairness I don’t think Giles could have fixed this because it’s on the original recording. I also feel Giles could have went further with the sound effects making them slightly louder. I also wanted to see each track extended like it’s mono counterparts (In all fairness I don’t think Giles could do this). That being said this new mix is amazing overall. After all, these are mono records to be begin with.

Great review Matthew. Insightful as ever. I agree that this is the goto from now and it makes me excited to think what they may be able to achieve with Rubber Soul and the others. She Said, She Said is dividing fans but as I said on my video, I think it was the right thing to do. Crash cymbals shouldn't be that loud so as they swamp other things.But as I always say everybody hears things differently which is good for debate. So good to have that opening chord back in Yellow Sub. Thanks for your review, always good to get your thoughts
