Exploring the Ancient City of Troy

The City of Troy is an ancient city located in modern-day Turkey. It is most famous for being the setting of Homer's epic poem, the Iliad. The city was also known for its legendary walls, which were said to be so strong that the Greeks needed to use a stratagem involving a wooden horse to breach them. Troy was destroyed by the Greeks in the Trojan War, which lasted for 10 years. It is now an archaeological site, with many of the ruins still visible today.
