Place a trap door directly between 2 skulk sensors. Placing the trap door will set off both sensors, which will then set off the trap door continuously. The warden will be drawn to it and he'll stay still, staring at the trap door. You can even stand in a block right next to him and he won't notice you as long as you don't touch him. So far I've raided 3 ancient cities doing this and it was very easy. Remember, depending on the size of the city, more than 1 warden can spawn, so make sure to do this in every section with a chest in it.

A very quick explanation: take your time, use wool when necessary (especially covering shriekers before you break them) and just crouch when not on wool

Instead of putting wool around the shriekers you can put it around the chest and open it because there might be hidden shriekers you can't see

I was literally in my world like hey, why don’t I try to find an ancient city? So I prepared for a long journey and set out, and no kidding, the first cave I went in had one. Wow!

i do the first method with elytra, just fly around, find a chest, then break the chest with my axe and pick everything up, fly away, and repeat. Works pretty well, i got a stack of notch apples in 3 hours by doing that

The first time I played on this version with a friend we found a shrieker and accidentally spawned the warden, we knew that it was in the game and that it can hit like a truck, but we thought it can only spawn in ancient cityes and we weren't anywhere near an ancient city... Queue 2 guys in their 20s being scared shitless when the shrieker started doing its thing and when the warden spawned and oneshoted us since we didn't have any armor on... Then queue me bridging above him trying to use my favorite weapon in the game: the lava bucket to cheese him and realizing the warden is immune to lava

If you want to kill/escape the warden, just mine a 20 block tunnel and shoot arrows at it, it can't sonic boom you
Also it takes a few seconds for the warden to emerge and takes a few more seconds for it to roar, the first method is pretty safe imo
You can turn on chunk borders if you don't want to fly in the darkness

Another pro tip: as the warden is burying himself out of the ground, u can quickly box him with wool and suffocate him.

you can put a trapdoor between two skulk sensors. it will constantly open and close. the warden will get distracted and not bother you.

I suspect an ancient city of being underneath my base, was strip mining and accidentally triggered a shrieked. Very helpful vid indeed

Or you can just set your spawn in a bed, place all your items in a chest and run around like crazy breaking shriekers with your hand until the warden kills you, and just keep on going around and breaking shriekers until there are no more

Covering up all the shriekers with wool may not work because u can’t get the bottom so make sure to watch for skulk sensors lower than the shriekers

The loot is insane. I found a enchanted diamond hoe that had unbreaking III, Fortune III, Efficiency IV and mending on it. Upgraded it to netherite immediately after finding it.

I personally climb on top of the giant portal, place down a couple of shulkers or chests and then, after I locate where the chests are, I jump with an elytra down to the chest, break it with an axe to get the loot, and then fly away to the top of the portal. After that, I wait 1 minute for the warden to despawn and then I fly down again until I gather all chests.

One time I summoned a raid and had the warden fight all the illagers. Fortunately, I set up an minecart track to save the villagers!
