Thankyou for this, concise and to the point without showing us a "full day in the life of" vlog first

Sometimes I'll use maximus as a frequency splitter, put the low/mid/high into their own mixer channels and then I sidechain the low/mid/high as needed. I like dynamic EQ but the parametric EQ bleeds while maximus will cut off all frequencies outside of the given range.

This is cool but you're only make this band react to the whole signal. Whereas a dynamic Eq band will usually react to that specific frequency. You could put the peak controller in a patcher or another channel and limit the bandwidth that's feeding it to just that of the frequency you want to control on the other eq that's reacting. 👍

So do you only duck the fundamental frequency of the kick rather than all the low end and sub frequencies?

Issue is, is that in FL 21 when you use fruity parametric EQ 2 for dynamic EQ sidechaining, it sounds terrible compared to FL 20.

So, I've been searching around. I know how to setup this techinque, but the issue I have is that I only want the start the original attack of the instrument to adjust the eq down while it's over a certain volume, like a real dynamic EQ does (think ozone dynamic eq or pro q3). How can I get that without using it with a short tail instrument like a kick you have in the video?

I'm having a problem with this, when i want to use it more than once. It seems that it applies to the first Fruity peak/EQ somehow. Any solution?
